From the Heart

From the Weekend: 4th of July

This weekend we celebrated our baby girl’s 3rd birthday! I’m baffled at how she ended up three all of a sudden. Where did the time go? Between deployments, the birth of her baby brother, homecomings and travels, she grew and grew right under my nose. We didn’t really have a theme for her party as I just picked out decorations randomly at the store (we all know that moms don’t have time to THINK when shopping so impulse buying becomes the new norm). The party came complete with a wiggling water sprinkler and piñata. I think it turned out cute enough, and the kids sure had a blast!

Strawberry Lemonade. Pureed strawberries with store bought lemonade. The perfect combination of sweet and tart!

All but one of the kids “posing.” This is as good as it gets as far as taking pictures goes.
